We are looking for Asst. Manager - Sourcing and Vendor Component Development with one of our Die Casting Industry at Pantnagar.

It is a global force in Aluminium Casting (including Alloy Wheels), Suspension, Transmission and Braking products with annual sale revenue of US$ 519 Million (INR 31,381 Million) from domestic operations and approx. US$ 183 Million (INR 11,072 Million) from overseas operations for the year 2013-2014. This Group has 19 Plants across India, Italy & Germany.
Position Title: Asst. Manager - Sourcing and Vendor Component Development
Location : Pantnagar , Rudrapur
Qualification : BE ( Mech)
Exp: 6-8 years in SOURCING/PURCHASE
Description of the job and key result areas:
1) Proprietary parts Costing , development & procurement -
A) Suspension – Critical SHOX and FORK Aluminum PDC /GDC Casting ,Critical sheet metal clutch and CVT parts forging , tube, rubber plastic and critical machine parts , sintered parts proprietary parts development and Ramp up to mass production
B)
Excellent Understanding of auto parts engineering drawings and standards
In-depth Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and surface treatment processes
Tooling Planning & Establishment at Vendor’s End
Ensure adherence to Quality, Cost and Delivery
Ensure process / actions to improve the Component Development process effectiveness
Co-ordination with Design , QA and plants for development activities
Actively participate for early involvement of supplier at development stage
Involvement in Cost Reduction projects / Innovation and VAVE Ideas
Negotiation of development cost of New projects parts and tool cost with suppliers and settlement
Basic knowledge of SBC and general engineering parts costing
Knowledge/Skills Required:
o Excellent Academics
o CD & MM Processes and Practices.
o In depth Knowledge of VPPAP, FMEA, MSA.
o Working knowledge of Basic and Advanced Problem Solving Tools.
o Basic awareness of Product development process
o MS Office knowledge ( Word, Excel, Power point)
o Working knowledge of SAP / ERP
o Good understanding of engineering drawings and design standards
Person Profile:
• Acumen to purchase / sourcing function
• Good communication skills – Preferably English medium
• problem solving skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a CFT (team)
• Innovation and creativity acumen
