Position: Dy. Manager / Manager - Utility Maintenance
Location: Rohad, Distt Jhajjar Near Bahadurgarh
Department: Utility
Area of operations- Utility maintenance
Reports To: HOD-Engineering/Maintenance/Utility
Summary: Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in Utility. Knowledge of utility systems used to support 24/7 manufacturing operations; including but not limited to purified water pre-treatment and generation, clean steam, clean gas, compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, electrical distribution, motor control, burner management emergency generators, air handlers, and building automation systems.
* Robust knowledge of Operation and Maintenance 0f Utilities (Industrial Boiler, Chiller plant, Water softener, Compressor, ETP/STP plant, Heat Exchanger, DGs Etc).
* Working Knowledge of Mechanical drawing, plant layout, P&I diagram and fabrication
* Preparing and implementing action plans effectively to maximize overall equipment efficiency of production machines.
* Ability to improve the efficiency of the Utilities equipments.
* Analyze and review the utility equipments and generate the performance reports and implement them.
* Optimize the consumption of the consumables like Petcoke, HSD , Hyd oil etc.
* A very strong knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.
* Ability to manage projects to completion on time and within budget.
* Technical understanding of plant power and electrical engineering practices, codes, and standards.
* Ability to participate as a leader or member on cross-functional and self-directed work teams
* Knowledge of maintenance, life-cycle management, reliability engineering, and continuous improvement is desired.
* Handling engineering responsibilities for all Utility and aided as Technical engineering resource to it.
* Distribution of work load to operators in order to achieve daily production target.
* Development of operator through multi skill.
* Troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
* Planning day to day production to achieve maximum production.
* Analysis of daily raw materials consumption and generation of production reports.
* Record preparation of tool history coordinating with purchase, planning, stores, tool room.
* Responsible for suggestion and Kaizen activities.
* Manpower planning & optimum utilization of resources.
* Checking machines daily.
* Implementation of 5'S & conducting continuous improvement projects.
* Participates in teams; providing technical information related to cost estimating, cost reducing
* Maintain utilities SOP's and record managing systems
* Maintain safety, health and environmental requirements
* Maintain all consumption, cost saving, IAR Internal Audit Report, breakdown and ISO Related Reports on daily basis
* Plan for predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance of Utility department
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems; interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
